The Process - Creating Your Web Site

Page 3 - Testing and Implementation

The next step involves extensively testing every aspect of your web site. All menu selections are tested, links are checked, text is given a final audit, forms are processed, database functions are checked; in short, every aspect and function of your web site is tested and re-tested in each browser at every resolution. Inevitably, bugs and glitches will be found, fixed, and retested.

This is a time-consuming process. We will go through your site "with a fine-toothed comb" to make sure that everything is working as it should.

While we are going through your site, we will also make sure that all code is properly internally commented to allow for easy future editing. This is a factor of which the average person is usually unaware, but could cost you a lot of money when the time comes to update your site. Commenting code allows a future programmer to quickly asses sections of code and know what their functions are. This is important, whether you are working with someone new, or the designer of the original work. Unless, of course, the original designer has a photographic memory.

Code commenting in HTML mainly consists of style and formatting, and is mildly important. Where there is JavaScript, PHP, CGI or other programming involved in your site, it is extremely beneficial when future changes need to be made. If these terms don't make any sense to you, don't worry. All this will be explained to you before we begin your project. Or, you can check out our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page from the top menu bar.

When we have completed the testing process, we will post your site to your DataBoySoftware.net account and give you a reasonable time to try it out yourself. After assuring that all is in order, we will ask you for the second payment, post your site to your actual domain, and submit your site to major search engines.
