The Process - Creating Your Web Site |
|
|
Page 2 - The Design PhaseOnce we have assisted you in planning your site, we will give you an exact quote for your design, as well as an estimate of any extra services you may need. At this point, we will ask you for a down payment, and the design process begins. We will first create a basic mock-up of your site design for your approval. You will be given a password-protected account at DataBoySoftware.net, where you will be able to view the mock-up with your web browser. Any design changes may be made at this time. Once you have approved the design, we will begin developing your site. Should you enlist us to research graphics for your site, we will also add a gallery to your DataBoySoftware.net account, where you will be able to view and select the graphics for your site. Many of these graphics are already available in our library, and will incur no additional cost. If you do not find what you like in our library, we will contact stock services and provide you a selection from these services. Depending on your site design, we may also provide forms for you to edit content, and/or upload text or graphic files for your site content. Throughout the design process, we will occasionally post our progress, along with our comments, as well as a form for you to add comments of your own at the same time you are viewing the actual work. If you will be using the services of a Search Engine Optimization company, it is best if you enlist their services at this time, as we will be able to consult with them during the design process. We highly suggest using our business partner, Hay Meadows SEO (HayMeadows.com), a superb company with an excellent track record. For the most part, your site will be designed first for the Mozilla FireFox browser, then Internet Explorer, both at the standard 800 x 600 resolution. Once this is completed, we will make the necessary changes for other browsers and resolutions. We have found that this is the most time-efficient process. When we are satisfied that the design is complete, we will submit our work for your approval. |
